Springggggg!!!! & sharing the news

Last weekend Payton and I did our devotionals together outside by the pond.  I can't wait until the weather is stable and WARM everyday!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE God's creation NATURE and WARMTH!!!!

This weekend felt so wonderful here!!! I love love love love love being outdoors, or, if I am indoors having the windows open and the breeze blowing through the house.  Yesterday was just that day.
When we got home from church (which was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. btw) Payton had her friend Kahlynne with her and they asked to get on the xbox and I just said. NOPE (talked with joey this weekend about starting "unplugged" nights at our house at least twice a week).  You may go play in the woods with your imagination, it's beautiful outside.  To which I got a "mommmmm".   I told them to go get a rake and make a play room in the woods as I was walking around opening EVERY window in our house and cranking on Meredith Andrews.  Then I got a little head tilt to the side, like "what in the world are you talking about?"  So I told her when I was little it was one of my favorite things, to make a house outlined by sticks ast the floor plan etc, etc.... but apparently they got into it after a while, Payton came back in and asked for some white fabric I bought from the hospice flea market for photo shoots and toga parties ; ) So I helped her cut it.
This is what they ended up with....Not quite the elaborated (at least what I remember being elaborate...they probably weren't even as good as this one ha!)  forts I made in the woods as a child but not too, bad for a first attempt.  AND we went from last weekend Payton being covered with a blanket to this weekend shorts and tanks, so it's looking like spring is COMING!!! YAY!!!!

(in this picture it looks more like a white surrender flag than a roof, but it actually looked like a roof in real life) ; )
They spent most of the day in the woods.
Joey and I went for a run together (I am *trying* to be a runner-I have never been a runner, but he loves it!)  I catch up with him between walking a bit and him coming back from another end of the road.  I guess I sprint with him about 5 times about 1/8 to 1/4 of a mile each, and then I walk to breathe again...but I am trying and getting a little longer each time, I look forward to the day I can run the whole mile and a half with him.

Saturday evening we had one of my best friends who is going through a lot right now, *breast cancer scare...imagine God's smile that I know how to care for her now having just had one myself*  Joey's sister, hubs, kids, and mom over for breakfast pizza (YUM) and we told them all about the foster parenting classes.  To which we got a lot of deer in headlights looks...but as I poured out the story of how it was being written on our hearts by God, the looks softened and support was given.  YAY! All glory to God.  :)  It helped that my friend who was there was a huge CHEERLEADER during the telling of the story.  Gotta love those non-biological sisters too!!! ; )

Last night was spent with different friends and we were able to testify to them through our foster parenting experience thus far, and I could tell hearts were touched.  Praying someone else will be placed in their paths to water those seeds of LOVE.

*prayed this morning that I be a light, not shove the light...it's just so hard not to be overly excited knowing what a difference He has made to me, us and not share that*

I'm looking so forward to tomorrow night.  Our first "real" class, I can already tell God is taking our marriage to a new level with this whole thing, just in this week we have grown as husband and wife...He is so GOOD!!!

In case you haven't noticed I'm not real great at chronological order this morning, or last week, or probably tomorrow.  ; )
