Orientation Day!

Tomorrow is our first foster parenting orientation class.
I am so excited.
I'm going to see if mom will come stay with Payton since we have to be there from 6:30-9pm.
This is the beginning of us committing every Tuesday from tomorrow until May 10th to see if we are foster parenting material. : )

On another happy note.  We have had Nick and Tyriq the past two weekends, spending more time with them also.
This Saturday we went to the park.  It was the first time they had ever seen a waterfall in real life.  And it was just warm enough for us to try and skip some rocks, have some biggest splash competitions and swing on some kudzu vines.

Payton, her friend Kahlynne, Nick, Ty and myself searching for rocks to throw.

I was happy the waterfall was running, there was such a drought last summer it was dry.
And the contest for the biggest splash once we found "rock island"

(Nick won the splash contest with this one)    ; )

it looks like Joey is standing on a tree but he's not, he monkey climbed up these 2 trees with his feet and hands on opposite limbs and I shot this just before he jumped.

Kahlynne on the kudzu vines

of course I had to try it first for weight/safety reasons... then once more off the log just for fun : )

 signs of spring...YAY!

my long legged sweetpea

she was unsure so daddy helped her at first.  <3

then the tree climbing lessons began....

It was a wonderful Saturday!!!

Please pray as you feel led as we embark on this journey tomorrow.  Especially for God's voice to be heard and followed in this.  I already have butterflies in my belly!

  1. I love these pictures!! Amazing and what a beautiful waterfall. I am jealous. Love all the tree climbing as well. We are back to winter here, temps getting colder and snow in the forecast after the weekend.

So very curious how orientation went!?
